Kailua-Kona · Kona Coast · Hawai'i Island
A main house and a separate permitted cottage on an oceanfront parcel in Keauhou, rebuilt in 2017, with a gunite pool and spa between the two and open water past the lawn.
The property sits on the bluff directly above He'eia Bay. Twenty-six thousand square feet of land, just under three thousand square feet of living area, and no road or neighbour between the lawn and the water. The pool and spa sit in the middle of it with the ocean as the backdrop.
Two buildings, not one. The main residence runs two stories, and a separate permitted guest cottage handles the overflow, which is what makes this work for two families or a group that wants some distance from each other by ten at night. Twelve guests, five bedrooms, four baths, ten sleeping surfaces.
The Keauhou Hōlua runs down the slope behind the property. It is the royal sled course, one of the largest surviving in Hawai'i, and it ends at the bay below you. Kahalu'u Beach is minutes north, downtown Kona is fifteen, and the airport is thirty.
